ASSISTANT SWIM TEAM COACH

- West YMCA $16.50/hour Part Time Starting

Our Assistant Swim Team Coach assists in conducting quality practices which foster a positive swimming experience, educational experience, aid in personal development, and contributes to self discipline for the children in our program. Between 4-9pm Monday -Thursday and 4-6:30pm on Friday. We can work around your schedule. The Assistant Swim Team Coach assists in conducting quality practices which foster a positive swimming experience that will provide an educational experience, aid personal development, contribute to self discipline and provide a rewarding experience for our Swim Team members.

Responsibilities:

Assists Swim Team Head Coach during practice Ensures safe environment for all swimmers and spectators Provides instruction in stroke technique as well as starts and turns. Develops and administers strong team discipline at all times Attends scheduled swim meets as needed Builds team leadership, encourages good sportsmanship, team loyalty, hard work and courteous, respectful behavior. Demonstrates a cheerful, positive attitude.

Qualifications:

Competitive swimming experience at the high school level or collegiate level required. Must possess and maintain current Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR/AED certifications.
