Job Description

Job Overview Advanced Recreational Gymnastics Coach GymSport Gymnastics is looking for an experienced gymnastics coach to lead our upper-level recreational classes and occasionally assist with our competitive team. This position is ideal for a former gymnast or experienced coach who understands gymnastics progressions, can confidently teach and spot intermediate skills, and enjoys helping athletes build the foundation needed for more advanced gymnastics. Schedule This position includes nine guaranteed hours each week during the school year:
Mondays:
4:30-7:30
PM Tuesdays:
4:30-7:30
PM Thursdays:
4:30-7:30 PM Consistent availability during these hours is required. Additional recreational, team, weekend, or summer hours may be available for someone interested in a larger role. Responsibilities Coach intermediate and advanced recreational gymnastics classes Teach safe, technically correct skill progressions on vault, bars, beam, and floor Modify GymSport's provided lesson plans to meet the needs of each class Provide appropriate hands-on spotting for developing skills Help athletes improve their strength, flexibility, confidence, and overall gymnastics technique Track athlete progress and help identify athletes who may be ready for the next class level or competitive team Maintain a positive, structured, and encouraging learning environment Communicate professionally with athletes, families, and fellow coaches Assist with competitive team practices or special events when needed Follow all GymSport and USA Gymnastics safety policies Qualifications Previous gymnastics coaching or competitive gymnastics experience Knowledge of skill progressions through approximately USA Gymnastics Levels 1-4 Ability to safely teach and spot intermediate gymnastics skills Dependable and consistently available for the required schedule Strong communication and classroom-management skills Positive, patient, and encouraging coaching style Willingness to complete required background checks and safety training CPR/First Aid and current USA Gymnastics certifications are preferred but may be completed after hiring.
Pay:
