$10.25/hour ($12.20/hour with a lifeguard certification)

Complimentary Individual YMCA Membership 50% Employee Only Discount on YMCA Programs CPR/AED/First Aid Certification Provided Upon Employment Flexible Hours Swim Instructors will provide swimming instruction to students of various ages and ability levels, from preschool through adult. Lessons are taught in accordance with the YMCA Swim Lesson program Curriculum. Critical to your success as an instructor, the Y's continued reputation as a provider of highest quality swim instruction, is the relationship that you build with your students and their parents. This will be accomplished through positive and regular communications with students and parents relative to progress, concerns, questions and suggestions, while maintaining a safe and friendly aquatic learning environment. Ideal candidates will be at least 15 years old, and have the ability to work 2+ days per week. Variety of shifts available.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have knowledge of and ability to demonstrate and teach proper swim strokes and skills. Aquatics background with experience as a swim instructor preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively interact with swimmers, parents and staff. Patience, problem-solving ability, creativity and the ability to work in a noisy environment.
