Teaching exclusively The successful candidate must demonstrateexcellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, and will be expected to teach courses in core mechanical engineeringareas, including mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and design. The department offers an ABET-accredited B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, both with aBiomedical Engineering track. A B.S. in Aerospace Engineering was launched in Fall 2024, and preparations are already underway for theprogram's first ABET review in 2029. The College of Engineering also offers a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering with a Mechanical Engineeringtrack, as well as a Biomedical Engineering track within the Ph.D. program in Basic Medical Sciences, offered in collaboration with the USACollege of Medicine.
