Position Summary:
The College of Performing Arts and Social Sciences at Henderson State University invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 2026. The successful candidate will teach across the psychology curriculum, engage in scholarly and professional activities, and participate in service at the department, college, university, and community levels.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate psychology courses including general psychology, tests and measurements, and other topics depending on expertise. Engage in scholarship appropriate to a tenure-track faculty role. Advise and mentor students in both academic and professional development. Contribute to departmental initiatives and service at multiple levels.

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as requested and/or needed

Minimum Qualifications:
• PhD (ABD considered).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Doctorate in psychology. • College-level teaching experience.
