P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University invites applicants for a faculty position in Economic Theory at the rank of Assistant Professor starting Fall 2027.
Essential Functions:
The candidate must conduct research at the highest levels that can be published at the top journals in Economics; teach economics courses at the undergraduate and graduate level; serve as a research mentor to doctoral students; and interact effectively with colleagues through department service to support and enhance the intellectual atmosphere of the department.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
1) A PhD in Economics or related field by appointment start date or no later than the end of the fall semester. Those who do not have a PhD by the appointment start date will be hired as an Instructor ABD. 2) A promising and ambitious research agenda in
Economic Theory Desired Qualifications:
1) A strong research agenda in Economic Theory, with ideally published or forthcoming papers in premier academic journals 2) Teaching experience 3) Demonstrated knowledge of AI tools through innovative teaching practices, cutting-edge research, and/or through leadership in academic or professional communities.
