THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AT LOMA LINDA UNIVERSITY INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
(TENURE-TRACK)
FACULTYPOSITION
Qualifications & Responsibilities :
We are interested in recruiting candidates with expertise instatistics/quantitative research methods and are open to any area of research, but are particularly interested in applicants whose researchmaps well onto existing specialization areas in our department (i.e., Health Psychology and Integrated Care, Child and Adolescent ClinicalPsychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, Clinical Generalist). The ideal applicant will demonstrate a strong record of statistical training andexpertise, including training in advanced statistical topics. They will also have the capacity to teach both basic and advanced statisticscourses at the graduate level, provide statistical consultation to faculty and graduate students, run analyses for manuscripts, and serve asthe statistician on grants. Though the position is primarily focused on statistical consultation, applicants will also have theopportunity to build their own research program and mentor doctoral students to the extent that their other duties allow. Though theappointment will be in the Department of Psychology, due to our partnerships across several health specialties on campus, we also offer theopportunity for applicants to develop a multidisciplinary research program. Therefore, it is also desirable that applicants have thebackground/training, skills, experiences, and willingness to collaborate as a methods/statistics mentor for faculty and students from otherbehavioral health backgrounds. All applicants must hold a Ph. D. in Psychology. If the degree is in clinical psychology, it must befrom an APA-accredited program (including an APA-accredited internship). Rank determination and salary are commensurate with facultypolicies and the wage scale for faculty within the School of Behavioral Health at Loma Linda University.
