Taylor University is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Management to assist with curriculum development and teach a variety of introductory and advanced management courses, including courses in business analytics and related areas. Responsible for integrating artificial intelligence into teaching. The Business Department is an ACBSP accredited program focused on preparing students for Kingdom lmpact in business. The department offers majors in accounting, finance, management, marketing, and sport management, and both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees. All business majors have a practicum requirement, and the curriculum includes project and experiential learning components.
Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include:
Expected to teach a full-time load of 24 credit hours per academic year. A commitment to teaching excellence with involvement in scholarly pursuits is expected. Will also perform standard faculty duties such as advising, committee assignments, and student mentoring. Expected to regularly attend chapel, participate in faculty meetings, advise students (as assigned), serve on faculty committees as appropriate, and carry out other faculty responsibilities. They shall arrange in advance with the department chair for all absences from teaching assignments. Faculty are expected to be involved during lnterterm in teaching, assigned travel, or scholarship / research (as approved by their school of dean). ln addition, faculty will participate as needed during lnterterm in faculty governance (e.g., committees, department/school meetings) and student advising. Faculty are expected to be responsive to emails, participate in orientation sessions (with advance notice) and engage in scholarship, planning, and rest.
Typical Qualifications Education:
Requires a Ph.D. (or ABD) or equivalent in Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field plus five (5) years of work experience in business administration or management.
