Job Description

Assistant Professor of Chemistry with a focus in environmental chemistry. This tenure-track position will start August 2027. Ph.D. in Chemistry required. Teach seven courses (3-1-3) per year, with primary responsibility teaching our two-semester general chemistry sequence (lecture and lab) as well as a 200-level lab-based environmental chemistry course. Candidates will preferably have postdoctoral and teaching experience, be strongly committed to teaching and mentoring undergraduates, and will involve them in a program of research and publication. Participation in the college's interdisciplinary, values-oriented general education program is required, including a regular rotation in a two-semester first-year course. Eckerd College, the only independent national liberal arts college in Florida, has a tradition of innovative education and teaching/mentoring excellence.
