Assistant/Associate Professor in Sport Management (9 Month Salary) Department of SportManagement Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences Department Department of Sport Management in the Anne Spencer DavesCollege of Education, Health, and Human Sciences Responsibilities The individual hired will be required tomaintain an active research agenda, possess strong knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods for the effective mentoringof master's and doctoral student research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses (including teaching online courses), seek externalfunding, aid in developing external partnerships, and contribute to department and university growth through appropriate serviceactivities. Qualifications Minimum qualifications for the position include earned doctorate degree in SportManagement or related field; college/university teaching experience; mentoring experience; evidence of scholarly productivity; experienceprocuring external funding, or evidence of ability to procure external funding. An individual's program of research should align with one ofthe department's core content areas. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to individuals with aresearch interest aligned with business-related content (e.g., marketing, finance, economics, management). Preference will also be given toindividuals with a record of procuring external funding. Considerations This is a Faculty position. This position requires successful completion of a criminal history backgroundcheck . This position is being advertised as open until filled. Other Information Candidates arebeing sought for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in the Department Sport Management in the Anne Spencer Daves Collegeof Education, Health, and Human Sciences. The department has thematic pillar areas which provide the broad context from which our researchand course offerings are derived: Legal and Policy Issues in Sport, Management of Sport, Sport Economics/Finance, Sport Marketing, and SportMedia and Culture Studies. This is a nine-month position, with possible summer employment. Candidates should be available to start inthe Fall 2027 semester (approximately August 9, 2027).
