Job Description

Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Molecular Biodesign The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Florida State University seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor at the intersection of chemistry, biology, and medicine. Leveraging the resources of the Institute of Molecular Biophysics (IMB), this search is open to all areas of the chemical sciences with a focus on molecular biodesign, including biochemistry, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, chemical biology, bioinorganic chemistry, and biophysical chemistry. We seek outstanding candidates pursuing innovative experimental research that advances the molecular understanding of biological systems and enables the discovery and development of new therapeutics. Candidates whose research incorporates artificial intelligence and machine learning are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a nationally and internationally recognized and externally funded research program in addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
