Job Description

The School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies (SIGS) at the University of South Florida (Tampa campus) seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of American Politics position. The start date of the position will be August 7, 2027. Salary is negotiable and dependent upon qualification and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Political Science or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required. Applications from individuals who are ABD will be accepted, but the degree must be conferred by appointment start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
Special consideration will be given to candidates whose research and teaching examine any of the following: American Political Institutions, American Political Development, political parties and movements, urban politics, women and politics, and/or indigenous politics.
