Morningside University's Rosen School of Business seeks applications for an Assistant or AssociateProfessor in Management/Business Administration to begin August 16, 2027. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position. Strong candidates will be those who are eager to share their knowledge, skills and experiences with Morningside students, while activelycontributing to the School's projects and initiatives. For this position, there is a particular need for applicants with experience in and apassion for areas, including: AI in business, business ethics, entrepreneurship and innovation, international business, leadership,management, project and operations management, and/or small business management. General Description of Faculty Role The business faculty at Morningside University are an innovative and collegial group of educators focused on student success. We supportstudents with diverse career goals, including students pursuing careers across offered disciplines, including accounting, businessadministration, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing, and sports management. The faculty serve asprofessional educators, most of whom have rich industry experiences. We strive to provide high-quality education, academic advising, andmentorship for all Morningside University students, while also engaging in innovative research and meaningful service. - A full teaching load is 24 credits per academic year.
- Oursemester-long undergraduate classes are 4-credit hours courses. Some 2-credit courses are offered for either the first half (FH) or secondhalf (SH) of the semester.
- MBA-level classes are concentrated 3-credit hour courses thatare offered either FH or SH of any given semester (with additional MBA-level courses offered during the summer).
- Opportunities to teach overload and/or teach during the summer session may be possible, dependent upon thestudent demand and approval by Academic Affairs.
Qualifications A Doctoral degree in Business Management ispreferred. With appropriate experience, candidates who are ABD will be considered.
Relevant experience and preferred qualificationsinclude:
- University-level teaching experience
- Experience mentoring or advising students
- Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills
- Experience with (or eagerness to learn) modern instructionaltechnologies
- Prior for-profit, not-for-profit, or governmental work experience During the academic year, faculty are expected to work on campus in Sioux City, Iowa.
About the Rosen School of Business The School currently offers majors in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing, Managerial Accounting, PublicAccounting, and Sports Management. Our School is proud to have a 99% placement rate for graduates and is experiencing growth across all itsmajors. There are over 400 students who have declared business majors. Many business students are actively engaged in on-campusactivities, including athletics, student clubs, the arts, and on-campus student employment. The current faculty have many years ofprior experience working in the industry or public sectors. We strive to be innovative, practical and forward-thinking—in fact, we have justadded a new required course focusing on AI for all business majors.
