Franklin College's Department of Graduate Health Sciences invites applications for a full-time, 11-month renewable Assistant Professor of Athletic Training position with an anticipated start date of July 2027. The successful candidate will teach graduate-level didactic and clinical athletic training courses in the College's CAATE-accredited Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program and advise and mentor MSAT students. This is a renewable, non-tenure-track faculty appointment with the potential for future transition to a tenure-track position for candidates holding a terminal degree, based on programmatic needs and institutional approval. Candidates with experience or interest in clinical education may have opportunities to assume future leadership responsibilities within the program. The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence-based, student-centered pedagogical practices and a commitment to student success. The candidate will also participate in service to the College through advising, committee work, recruitment, professional development, and other institutional activities. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a dedication to teaching, a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment, and a genuine interest in working with graduate students in a small liberal arts college setting. Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide high-quality teaching and instruction within the MSAT program, with a willingness to adapt teaching strategies, instructional methods, and content delivery to support student success.
• Assist the MSAT Program Director and faculty with the development, assessment, and revision of didactic and clinical curricula.
• Mentor, advise, and support MSAT students, including supporting student research and professional development.
• Communicate effectively and collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, administrators, clinical partners, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with the development of accreditation reports, program assessments, and programmatic outcome measures.
• Assist with MSAT program recruitment and admissions activities.
• Participate in service to the College through advising, committee work, recruitment, and other institutional activities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain appropriate professional credentials and certifications.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment consistent with Franklin College's liberal arts mission. Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in athletic training or a related health care field.
• Current Board of Certification (BOC) certification and good standing with the BOC.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional athletic training experience.
• Teaching experience in athletic training or a related health care field.
• Clinical practice experience in athletic training.
• Eligibility for athletic training licensure in the State of Indiana.
• Current National Provider Identifier (NPI) number, or eligibility to obtain one, with an appropriate health care taxonomy designation.
• Eligibility for membership in the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA). Preferred Qualifications
• Terminal degree in athletic training or a related health care field.
• Five (5) or more years of BOC certification and professional athletic training experience.
• Two (2) or more years of clinical practice experience in athletic training.
• Teaching experience in a CAATE-accredited athletic training program.
• Familiarity with and/or experience related to CAATE accreditation, standards, and guidelines.
• Experience supervising and mentoring student research.
• Current NATA membership.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in clinical education and student clinical development.

Candidates who are ABD in a terminal degree program may also be considered. Transition to a tenure-track appointment, if available, would be contingent upon completion of the terminal degree, programmatic needs, and institutional approval.
