Typical Schedule :
Academic Year Purpose:
To support instructional needs in Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, and related health science courses while collaborating in the exploration and development of future Exercise Science curriculum and programs.
Essential Job Duties:
Teach Human Anatomy and Human Physiology. Develop and teach courses in kinesiology, exercise physiology, biomechanics, fitness assessment, sports performance, and related areas. Advise Biology and health sciences students. Mentor undergraduate research and internships. Lead exploration and development of Exercise Science curriculum opportunities. Build partnerships with health care, rehabilitation, and wellness organizations
Minimum Education, Skills, and Ability:
Ph.D. in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Human Performance, or related field (ABD considered). Page Break Demonstrated ability to teach Anatomy and Physiology. Commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring. Commitment to the mission of a Catholic liberal arts college .
Preferred Qualifications:
Curriculum development experience. Professional certifications (ACSM, NSCA, NATA, etc.). Experience with athletic populations or rehabilitation sciences. Experience developing community partnerships .
