Job Description
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking to hire a new tenure-track faculty member. The Department presently consists of 26 full-time faculty and is growing. It offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in nearly every sub-discipline of the field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Chemistry and/or Polymer Science at the undergraduate and graduate levels and develop an active, high quality, externally funded and internationally recognized research program. Located in Lowell, Massachusetts, our university offers a dynamic and innovative academic environment. Minimum Qualifications (Required): A Ph.D. in chemistry, polymer science, or a closely related discipline is required; postdoctoral experience is preferred. This position is full-time, benefited and in the Massachusetts Society of Professors/MTA/NEA union. Anticipated salary based on qualifications within expected hiring range with minimum $75,000 up to $115,000. Review of applications will begin October 15th, and continue until the position is filled.
