We are searching for a macroeconomist with potential for excellence in research and teaching who can contribute to our macroeconomics curriculum, especially at the intermediate level. All department faculty also offer elective courses that are informed by their scholarship. The teaching load at Colby is 4.5 classes per year, typically achieved in the department through three distinct courses. We are seeking candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds who, through their teaching, scholarship, and service, will contribute to access, belonging, and inclusive teaching within the campus community. Colby is a selective liberal arts college located in Central Maine with high standards for teaching and research. Our 20 continuing department faculty have active research agendas generously supported by the College, including a pre-tenure sabbatical during the fourth year, significant start-up and continuing research funds, and department-funded student research and teaching assistants.
