Assistant Professor, Research

•Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Assistant Professor, Research

•Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics at its Detroit campus location. Essential functions (job duties): Teach university courses in Mitochondrial Biology including:

MGG 7020

•Metabolism & Disease;

MGG 8770

•Molecular Biology of Mitochondrial Disease;

IBS 7015

•Interdisciplinary Cell & Molecular Biology; & MGG 7400

•Molecular Biology of Cellular Signaling. Develop course in "molecular biology of aging." Course number not yet assigned. Advise students. Conduct research in mitochondrial bioenergetics. Publish results in peer-reviewed journals & present results of research at professional conferences.

Unique duties:
Qualifications:

Position requires a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) degree in Molecular Cell Biology.

Position also requires:

Ph. D. dissertation in mitochondrial bioenergetics.
