United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities seeks an academic and practitioner of ministry with experience in congregational leadership, preaching, pastoral/spiritual care, and competency with the profession of chaplaincy and/or spiritual direction. A generalist in these areas will be a constructive addition to the faculty.

Qualifications:

Ph.D., Th.D., or D.Min. in the practices of ministry with focus on several of the following: homiletics, worship/ritual studies, pastoral/spiritual care, congregational leadership and administration. Experience in chaplaincy or certified spiritual direction would also be valued. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise dissertations, theses, and directed studies in the practices of ministry and other related areas. A desirable candidate understands the significance of formation for ministry practices and demonstrates a vocation for theological education with an accomplished or promising record of publishing or other meaningful contributions to the field. United seeks a collegial candidate with the capacity to work amid religious diversity and varied gender identities. PhD or equivalent must be completed within one year of start date. The current salary for professors at the assistant level is $74,372 and the salary at the associate level is $84,457.
