Jackson State University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science. Serve as an effective teacher and mentor at the undergraduate and graduate levels by (1) employing innovative strategies to create active learning environments; (2) creating environments that foster collaboration and team building; and (3) actively participating in programming that supports the success of students (academically and professionally). Develop curriculum in the areas of Biomedical Engineering. Establish and sustain an externally funded research program in Biomedical Engineering. Provide service to the department, the college, the university and profession. Perform other duties as assigned. Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. Must have a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate student education and success. Be an effective communicator and have excellent interpersonal skills. Be knowledgeable about effective pedagogical strategies. Be able to provide guidance, support and academic advice to undergraduate and graduate students. Strong analytical, observational and problem-solving skills.
