DDS or DMD degree from an
ADA CODA
accredited institution or an equivalent degree from an international program, combined with certificate of completion in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from an
ADA CODA
accredited graduate training program/institution. Successful completion of Part I and Part II of the National Board Dental Examination or the Integrated National Board Dental Examination prior to the date of hire. Candidates must possess an unrestricted Nebraska Dental License or obtain and acquire an unrestricted Nebraska Dental License in a category for which they are eligible and also acquire credentialing from applicable third-party payer systems. Candidates must also possess strong organizational and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a collegial, interdisciplinary environment.
Preferred:
Specialty certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from an
ADA CODA
accredited program/institution. Prior full-time or >50 % dental academic position with experiential evidence of course assignments in clinical, laboratory, classroom teaching support radiology and imaging sciences curricula.

Description:
Creighton University School of Dentistry (CUSOD) is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in support of its didactic and clinical radiology sciences curricula including patient services through the school's pre-doctoral clinic model. This 12-month, full-time, tenure-track position is a primary appointment within the Department of Oral Health Promotion with CUSOD performance guidelines for Teaching-Research - Clinical Sciences Tenure Track. The position provides an opportunity to collaborate on curriculum development, developing educational resources, present continuing education programs, reading of internal and external images of radiant energy and mentor dental students in scholarly activity. Position will also have responsibility for assuring regulatory compliance of radiological equipment and maintenance of radiology/imaging manuals and clinical protocols in collaboration with the Assistant Dean of Clinical Services and Assistant Dean of Operations. Participation in departmental meetings, academic service committees, and professional societies to maintain expertise is expected of all full-time faculty members.
