A Ph. D. in Spanish or relevant field is preferred Specializations are open Evidence of excellent college level teaching is preferred Preferences will also be given to candidates who have an interest in community engagement and service learning Ability to foster student learning, development, and decision making in support of their goals, success, wellness, and needs Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others

Description:
The department of Modern Languages and Literatures invites applications for one full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor in Spanish. This renewable one-year position will begin January 2027. Candidates will teach undergraduate courses (4-4 course load) based upon experience and departmental needs.
