College Assistant Professor- Lecturer

Job Description

The Department of Biology at New Mexico State University invites applications for a continuing, non-tenure-track, teaching position at the College Assistant Professor level. Applicants for this position must have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related field and prior teaching experience. Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated commitment to teaching at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum and experience in the development and/or implementation of innovative teaching methods and materials. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to undergraduate courses at the introductory level in cellular and molecular biology, and contribute to the genetics or microbiology curricula. In addition, they will contribute to course and career advising of undergraduate students and the department's overall mission of ensuring undergraduate success. NMSU is a public, land-grant, Hispanic-Serving Institution in Las Cruces, NM. The Department of Biology offers undergraduate majors in Biology, Conservation Ecology, Genetics, and Microbiology as well as MS and PhD programs.
