Part-Time Posting Detail Information Position Summary The Department of Surgery within the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, State University of New York at Buffalo (UB), is seeking a highly qualified Thoracic Surgeon. This position will be based at our major affiliated teaching hospitals, with an appointment at the Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor level. Rank will commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will play a vital role in advancing thoracic surgery services and will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient-centered care.
Overall duties include:
Serving as attending physician for inpatient thoracic surgery care services Providing consultation, treatment, and follow-up for thoracic surgery patients Teaching and mentoring residents, fellows, and medical students Engaging in clinical and basic science research, as well as participating in clinical trials that promote advancements in thoracic surgery About the University The University at Buffalo is SUNY's most comprehensive public research university, and an outstanding place to work.
