Position Summary The Kinesiology Department at the State University of New York at Cortland invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor with a specialization in biomechanics. Experience Cortland dives deep into the region's offerings Major Responsibilities Teaching Provide instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in biomechanics and other courses as assigned Advise/mentor undergraduate and graduate students Scholarship/Research Implement an active research agenda on biomechanics topics that leads to nationally/internationally refereed publications and presentations Pursue external funding for research Direct graduate/undergraduate research projects Service Provide service to the department, university, and professional organizations Functional and Supervisory Relationships This position reports to the academic department chair and works closely with department faculty. Required Qualifications Earned doctorate in Biomechanics or related field. Candidates who are ABD may be considered with expected completion of the doctorate within one year from appointment date.
