Job Description

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist to join the Consultation-Liaison (CL) Psychiatry Service. The successful candidate will provide psychiatric consultation services to inpatients on the various medical and surgical services at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. In addition they will provide outpatient psychiatric services in some of the Medical Center's primary care clinics and the HIV, solid organ transplant, and stem cell transplant program. Other responsibilities include teaching and supervising Columbia medical students and residents. The successful candidate will have opportunities for professional development in an academic medical center. This role includes opportunities for additional compensation aligned with the department's comprehensive compensation plan. MD or DO from accredited institution New York State License Active DEA License Completion of a consultation-liaison psychiatry fellowship or equivalent is highly preferred. Applicants should have demonstrated ability to teach.
