Contract, Part-Time The Division of Natural Sciences at Mount Saint Mary College (Newburgh, NY) seeks qualified individuals to teach one or more sections of Anatomy and Physiology lab, beginning Spring 2027, but also with the possibility of an ongoing basis. This course introduces students to the basic concepts of anatomy and physiology. The 3-hour laboratory scheduled for the course will include introductions to different organ systems and assisting students in navigating online instructional materials. Previously-developed materials are available for use. This course is offered during the traditional 15-week semester schedule, from late-January through early May. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provide support and guidance to students Instruct an assigned course, providing syllabi and other instructional materials Use of College learning management systems to deliver instruction Prepare and deliver course materials (lectures, labs, assignments, assessments) in alignment with departmental learning goals. Maintain course records, grade assignments, and submit final grades in a timely manner. Provide students with regular feedback on performance and be available during office hours or by appointment. Adhere to departmental and university policies and deadlines. Coordinate with course coordinators and laboratory staff as needed Knowledge, skills, and abilities Must have computer skills to include knowledgeable use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Show proficiency in oral and written communications with the ability to generate high-quality classroom materials. Demonstrate the ability to clearly and engagingly present information, lead class activities, and facilitate student learning. Have leadership abilities to guide students in hands-on, design, or technology management in the laboratory setting. Demonstrate commitment to student success and academic excellence. Requirements A graduate degree in Biology or a related field. Demonstrated experience within the field of anatomy and physiology.
