250,000 The College of Business at Stony Brook University is seeking applicants for an Assistant professor position in Finance. This is a full-time appointment in the College's Finance area. The position starts on September 1, 2027. Salary, teaching load, and research support are commensurate with qualifications, academic record, and experience. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Finance or a related field by the time of appointment. Candidates must demonstrate strong potential to produce high-quality research publishable in leading finance journals, particularly those included in the Financial Times 50 (FT50) list. We welcome candidates from all areas of finance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Research synergy with our finance faculty in the areas of corporate finance, investments, behavioral finance, international finance, banking, and quantitative finance. Evidence of excellent research productivity by a portfolio of publications in the highest quality finance journals.
