Russell Sage and ACPHS will collaborate over the next several years to create a plan to merge their academic portfolios and develop a facilities and people strategy, addressing workforce needs. The undergraduate Biology and Health Sciences department at Russell Sage College invites applications for a 9-month, full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice for the fall of 2027. The successful applicant will possess an academic doctorate (PhD or equivalent) in the Biological Sciences. Primary responsibilities include teaching lectures and laboratories in microbiology. Additional teaching responsibilities may include research methods, or upper-level courses based on the candidate's specialization. Prior undergraduate teaching experience in these areas will enhance the candidate's application. A successful candidate will be able to mentor research students in addition to teaching. All faculty in the department advise students beginning their second year at Russell Sage College under the guidance of a mentor. All courses offered by the department will be delivered in person. Candidates should anticipate that they will be teaching seven courses over the academic year. The estimated base academic year salary range for this position is $53,000- $57,000, commensurate with experience.
