Duties Help Teach a variety of classes in the Department of Systems Engineering (DSE) as part of the Systems Engineering (SE), Engineering Management (EM), and Systems and Decision Sciences (SDS) Programs. Work under the direction of faculty within DSE. Instruct undergradue cadets in DSE courses such as Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, or Systems and Decision Sciences courses. Participe in professional development activities within the Department and the Academy including the Department's Faculty Development Workshop (FDW). Develop cadets in voluntary curricular and academic extracurricular activities, the character, military, or physical development programs, or community activities contributing to cadet development. Serve in and enrich all facets of DSE's mission including teaching, scholarship, service, faculty development, and cadet development. Participe in DSE, Academy, and professional society governance including, but not limited to serving on and leading standing and ad hoc committees. Advise and assist a limited number of cadets in course selection and capstone projects. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must (a) hold a bachelor's degree or higher th included or was supplemented by major study in educion or in a subject-mter field approprie to the position, OR (b) possess a combinion of educion and experience
  • courses equivalent to a major in educion, or in a subject-mter field approprie to the position, plus approprie experience or additional course work th provided knowledge comparable to th normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(KSAs): Applicants evalued on the following: 1) Academic accomplishment (Ph.D. is preferred) in Systems Engineering (SE), Engineering Management (EM), Industrial Engineering (IE), Operions Research (OR), Da Science (DS), Stistics or another closely reled field. 2) Ability to advise undergradues in course selection and capstone research. 3) Demonstred ability to plan, develop, evalue, teach undergradue courses within the DSE and continued growth in teaching. 4) Ability to contribute to the service of DSE. Educion Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Educion are acceptable to meet positive educion requirements or to substitute educion for experience.
