Position Information Position Title Assistant/Associate Professor (University Hospitals/Geriatrics_Internal Medicine) Position Type Faculty Department Pharmacy Practice Full or Part Time Full Time Pay Grade 3 Position Summary Information Department Specific Information Summary This is a shared faculty position that is co-funded by University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and NEOMED. The faculty will spend 80% of their time at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, with a primary focus on establishing a viable Geriatrics/Internal Medicine practice and precepting pharmacy students (up to 16 student months, 8 months/year). The faculty member will be an employee of University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Campus activities include seminar/lab facilitation, lecturing, committee service, student applicant interviews, and student advising. Scholarship is an expected activity for all NEOMED faculty.
Principal Functional Responsibilities Teaching:
Faculty responsibilities will include campus-based education such as small/large group teaching, student applicant interviews, assessments/evaluations, and student advising.
Scholarship:
All faculty are expected to participate in producing scholarly work, which may include clinical and/or outcomes research, review articles, book chapters, case reports and more. Presentations at local, regional and national meetings will be expected.
Service:
Participation on departmental, College, and University committees is expected. In addition, faculty members are expected to be active in local, state and national professional organizations. Faculty will be expected to participate in structured on-campus faculty development programs. Qualifications Pharm.
