Job Description

Position Available Full-time, nine-month, Assistant or Associate Professor of Management and General Business. Salary,based on qualifications and experience, is determined by the Vice President for Academic Affairs and University President and approved bythe Regional University System of Oklahoma (RUSO). General Information Available Northwestern OklahomaState University is a state-assisted regional institution in the Oklahoma System of Higher Education and is accredited by the HigherLearning Commission. The student population is approximately 2,100 students. Located in Alva, Oklahoma, and with additional campus locationsin Enid and Woodward, the university is a center of activity for the region. The Division of Business is accredited by the AccreditationCouncil for Business Schools and Programs. January 2027 Job Summary The successful candidate will be based onthe Northwestern Enid campus, teaching courses on site. Placement at the Enid campus will require commuting to the Alva campus one day perweek to fulfill teaching responsibilities, with occasional additional commutes as part of various division/institutional activities. We seeka motivated candidate to join our division of nine other faculty members who share a commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduatestudents, as well as strengthening and helping our programs grow. Teaching responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, HumanResource Management, Organization Behavior, Principles of Management, and graduate MBA management courses. Duties andResponsibilities The Division of Business standard teaching load consists of 12/12 credit hours of undergraduate and graduatebusiness courses during the regular fall and spring semesters with opportunities for overload compensation during the regular semesters andoptional course loads in the summer. Additional responsibilities include advising, curriculum development, assessment of student learning,committee participation, student organizations/student competitions, ACBSP accreditation, and community involvement. PreferredQualifications DBA or a PhD in Management from an accredited university. Preference will be given to candidates with previousuniversity teaching experience, a strong academic background (18+ graduate hours in management), and experience as a corporate manager orbusiness owner. Prior experience with online teaching and online course development is desirable. Minimum Qualifications
  • MBA from an accredited university
  • ACBSP qualified in Management or General Business
  • Business experience
