Duties:

Deliver engaging lectures and practical instruction across undergraduate courses in health administration, public health, and related disciplines. Develop, review, implement, evaluate and update curriculum materials to ensure alignment with current industry standards and emerging trends in healthcare delivery, policy, and research. Participate in curriculum implementation and evaluation. Serve on program and university committees. Supervise student projects, internships, clinical training sessions, and research activities within various health settings. Conduct original research in areas such as clinical research, medical research articles, or public health initiatives; publish findings in peer-reviewed journals to contribute to academic scholarship. Secure research funding through grants and partnerships to support ongoing projects and expand the department's scholarly impact. Deliver instruction using face-to-face, online, or hybrid modalities, as scheduled. Participate in academic advisement, student recruitment and retention activities. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, program accreditation efforts, and interdisciplinary initiatives involving fields like anesthesiology, psychiatry, oncology, pediatrics, neurology, internal medicine, radiology, nursing, veterinary medicine, and other specialties. Participate in departmental meetings, student advisement sessions, community outreach programs, and professional conferences. Review documentation related to clinical trials or healthcare practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain program of professional development. Engage with students from diverse backgrounds by providing mentorship that fosters academic success and professional growth. Assume and effectively perform other duties as assigned by the dean.

Experience:

Proven teaching experience at the university level with a focus on higher education instruction in health sciences or public health disciplines. Demonstrated supervising experience in clinical training programs or research settings within healthcare environments such as hospitals or clinics. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology—including veterinary terminology—and anatomy knowledge relevant to medical research or clinical instruction. Strong background in clinical research methodologies including clinical trials management across specialties like obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), radiology, critical care, pediatrics, neurology, internal medicine, oncology, family medicine, anesthesiology or psychiatry. Familiarity with securing research funding through grants or institutional support for academic research projects. Experience reviewing documentation related to pathology or diagnostic radiology procedures within a healthcare setting. Background working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds in both classroom experience and laboratory environments. Prior college faculty experience combined with hospital or clinic experience emphasizing acute care or veterinary critical care is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical research processes including publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals is essential for scholarly contributions.

$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
