School of Music Location Norman, Oklahoma Open Date Oct 05, 2026 Deadline Nov 16, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The University of Oklahoma Weitzenhofer Family College of Fine Arts School of Music seeks an accomplished teacher of violin.

August 16, 2027 Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • Earned Master of Music Degree in Violin Performance
  • Evidence of successful recruiting, mentoring, and teaching at the collegiate level
  • Creative/scholarly accomplishments demonstrated through national and international performances, master classes, presentations at conferences, recordings, publications, and/or professional leadership Desired Qualifications
  • Earned doctoral degree in Violin performance or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience guiding creative activity and research at the graduate level
  • We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to the collaborative activities of our string area, with compelling records of experience in areas such as, but not limited to, chamber music, community outreach and engagement, and interdisciplinary projects.
