Newly posted Job Description This position will fill the role of the clinical coordinator and must possess the ability to direct the clinical education of nuclear medicine students and participate in the delivery of departmental and programmatic coursework. Demonstrated leadership in professional multidisciplinary interactions and a strong record of verbal and written communication skills are required.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate nuclear medicine students' clinical education under the direction of the program director.
These duties include:
Develop and document appropriate clinical competencies, clinical evaluations, and clinical rotation schedules that comply with program standards, program goals, and clinical affiliate agreements. Maintain appropriate records of student clinical education activities, instruction, and evaluation Establish and maintain rapport with clinical affiliates to facilitate collaboration between the affiliate and program, including visiting clinic sites, to accomplish clinical education objectives. Represent nuclear medicine on the Clinical Education Committees (Dept. and College) Assume responsibility for instruction in programmatic and core courses assigned each semester; Use technology to enhance the simulation and clinic curricula Maintain appropriate records of student activity and evaluation Supervise, evaluate, and advise students in clinical progress Participate in the accreditation process under the guidance of the program director Participate in the tri-mission (scholarly activity, service, and teaching) of the University of Oklahoma as deemed appropriate as a faculty member Participate in program, department, college, and University functions and committees Performs other duties as defined by Program Director and/or
Department Chair Required Qualifications:
NMTCB or ARRT Certification in nuclear medicine Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in nuclear medicine Minimum 1-year experience instructing students in a JRCNMT-accredited nuclear medicine program (clinic or classroom) Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University and willing to obtain a Master's degree within 3-years of hire Clinical experience in cardiac and/or
PET/CT Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or PhD degree Possess both NMTCB and ARRT certifications Possess advanced certification(s) with emphasis in cardiac, PET, and/or CT Experience in the use of instructional technology and/or learning management systems Strong organizational skills Flexibility and the ability to effectively manage and resolve conflict Demonstrate effective verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills

The clinical coordinator must possess the ability to direct the clinical education of nuclear medicine students and participate in the delivery of departmental and programmatic coursework. Demonstrated leadership in professional multidisciplinary interactions and a strong record of verbal and written communication skills are required.
