Position Department Academics - Religion Job Summary/Basic Function Provide instruction for one or more courses in the curriculum at the higher education level using lectures, demonstrations, class discussions, and other appropriate modes of educational delivery to promote student learning in keeping with faculty academic freedom and responsibility. Participate in assessment activities associated with taught courses by collecting data on student learning outcomes when appropriate, and engaging in department activities associated with the analysis and application of those data for the purposes of continuous improvement of the programs. Foster student development. Maintain laboratories and equipment when applicable. Serve as academic advisor to students. Be available to faculty and students for consultation in one's area of expertise.
