A College Professor or Instructor teaches students beyond the high school level, including undergraduate and graduate students. Teaches subjects ranging from liberal arts (literature, history, languages) to sciences, mathematics, business, art., music or technology. Conducts research and supervises student research. Teaches at a public or private college, in a two year or four year degree program.
Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Business, Organizations and Society beginning August 2027. Appointment is for nine months per year (August - May). The rank will be Assistant Professor or Instructor depending on qualifications. Applicants should possess or be close to completing a doctorate. We are interested in candidates who can contribute to the department's quantitative methods curriculum and teach upper-level undergraduate courses in business analytics, applied data analysis, and/or emerging technologies. Possible areas of teaching interest may include one or more of the following: artificial intelligence, digital transformation, data-driven decision making, data visualization, digital presentation and communication tools, and the business and societal implications of new technologies. The successful candidate will also contribute to a secondary area of the business curriculum, such as financial accounting, finance, marketing, operations, or management information systems. In addition, the candidate would offer courses that build on the Department's offerings along with contributions in the College's general education program, Connections. Faculty maintain active research programs and contribute to the College's shared governance. Immigration sponsorship is provided for specific roles that meet our sponsorship criteria.
