The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Villanova University invites applications for two tenure track positions in Mathematics with the rank of Assistant Professor. The positions begin in August 2027. The teaching load is 12 credits for the first year, with a standard load of 15 credits per year thereafter. Candidates from all areas of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and related fields, such as Operations Research and Financial Mathematics, are invited to apply. For one position, preference will be given to candidates with research interests broadly in applied math. Our program features a robust undergraduate major in mathematics, a well-established MA in Mathematics, and an undergraduate minor. We run a highly-successful program of faculty-mentored undergraduate research that is supported by an endowment. Graduates of our program pursue further studies in mathematics, or a related field, or enter careers in industries including healthcare, business, sports, consulting, and education. Our department currently has 46 full-time faculty members in mathematics and statistics.
