Penn State Berks (Reading, PA) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Engineering , beginning August 2027. Responsibilities include teaching mechanics courses such as Dynamics, Vibrations, and Machine Design, and Capstone Design, as well as programming courses in MATLAB and LabView, and other related courses. The courses are part of the BS in Mechanical Engineering , BS in Electromechanical Engineering Technology programs and other programs in the College of Engineering. This position carries a teaching load of nine contact hours (approximately three courses) per semester. The successful candidate will conduct robust research that leads to publications in scholarly journals, will advise students and will provide service to the program, division, college, community, and profession. Penn State Berks encourages active and collaborative learning, including undergraduate research, and a commitment to supporting learners in the classroom.
