RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain an active career as a composer through performances, recordings, publications, etc.; teach courses in undergraduate and graduate music theory as well as composition; help direct concerts of contemporary music and student composer concerts; direct graduate and undergraduate research as needed. This position will work at the University of South Carolina Columbia campus in Columbia, SC. QUALIFICATIONS

Earned Doctorate (or ABD) is required with priority given to applicants with specialization and graduate degrees in piano pedagogy. Primary consideration will be given to candidates with a record of successful group piano teaching and related administrative and leadership skills. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate previous experience and/or potential for innovative instruction in group piano and piano pedagogy to meet the needs of the 21st-century musician/educator. Successful candidates will be effective in working with students across degree programs.
