The School of Professional Studies at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track, nine-month Counselor Educator at the Assistant rank to begin in the Fall of 2027 . UTC offers CACREP-accredited M.Ed. programs in both school counseling and clinical mental health counseling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching graduate courses in the CACREP core and specialty areas of the program Engaging in an active research and scholarship agenda Supervising practicum and/or internship experiences in all specialty areas Participating in service to the university, community, and profession

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program Membership and involvement in professional organizations such as

ACA, ASCA, ACES

Potential for excellence in instruction and supervision. Developed research and scholarship agenda License-eligible in the State of Tennessee

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in counseling from a CACREP-accredited program. Two years post-master's experience working in a clinical or school setting. Licensed in either school or clinical mental health counseling. Screening of applications will begin October 1, 2026, and will continue until the position is filled.
