The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Hunt School of Nursing invites applications for two full-time nursing facultyposition at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher. We seek an accomplished and student-focused nurse educator who is committed toexcellence in nursing education, student success, scholarship, service, and the preparation of the next generation of nursing professionals.
The successful candidate will contribute to the academic mission of the Hunt School of Nursing through responsibilities that mayinclude: Provides academic and clinical instruction within the Hunt School of Nursing Plans, coordinates, andfacilitates classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical learning experiences for students Maintains academic standardsestablished by the school and the university Teaches and evaluates students in the clinical, laboratory, simulation, and classroomsettings Assumes responsibility for and participates in the planning, organization, delivery and evaluation of assignedcourses Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of school, program, course, and student learningactivities Integrates current evidence, emerging knowledge, and innovative teaching strategies into clinical, laboratory,simulation, and classroom instruction Engages in ongoing professional development through continuing education, workshops,conferences, and other scholarly activities Participates in school, university, and professional committees Serves theacademic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties Engagesin advancement of nursing science and education through research and/or scholarship Adheres to institutional policies andprocedures, and accreditation standards Contributes to the community through academically related public service complementary tothe institutional mission Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso Performs other duties, asrequired. Required Qualifications M.S.N. Degree with area of concentration or certification in the relevant areaof teaching or an M.S.N. Degree in nursing education. Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas or acompact state recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing. Minimum of Two (2) years of undergraduate teaching experience in anaccredited college or university in a nationally accredited nursing program.
