Job Summary The Soules College of Business at The University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler) is seeking applicants for one full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Management with a focus on International Business and able to teach undergraduate and graduate International Business and International Management. The position starts in Fall 2027 pending final budget approval, and the salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. The purpose of this tenure-track faculty position is to advance the academic mission of the Soules College of Business through excellence in teaching , scholarship , and service . In alignment with university standards, the successful candidate will maintain an active, well-defined research stream focused on International Business, aiming for publication in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals. Instructional duties include delivering undergraduate and graduate courses in both face-to-face and online formats within the International Business discipline. Additionally, the faculty member will support the university community through active service on department or college committees and regular participation in faculty governance. Key Responsibilities Maintain a well-defined research stream in International Business and/or International Management, demonstrating the potential to publish in high-quality outlets, as defined in Soules College of Business policies. Deliver both graduate and undergraduate International Business and International Management courses with a mix of face-to-face and online delivery. Make service contributions to the profession, the university, and the community. Maintain regular on-campus presence. Attend departmental meetings. Required Qualifications Ph.D. or research-oriented D.B.A. (ABD candidates close to completion will be considered) in Management with a concentration in International Business or closely related field. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. or D.B.A. from an accredited institution. Experience in teaching International Business and International Management courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels, with a mix of face-to-face and online delivery. Demonstrated success publishing in high-quality peer reviewed disciplinary outlets. Accompanying Knowledge, Skill, Abilities, and Competencies Ability to deliver a mix of face-to-face and online courses in both graduate and undergraduate programs. Ability to conduct research published in high-quality peer reviewed management outlets. Additional Information The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code Section 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.
