seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor for a one-year renewable term position beginning September 2021. The successful candidate will have administrative responsibilities in the Language Schools, Middlebury School of Hebrew and will teach courses in Modern Hebrew language and culture in Middlebury College during the academic year. Courses beyond the language will focus on Israel Studies, broadly defined (Hebrew literature and culture, Israeli society and politics, etc.). Qualifications Native or near-native fluency in Hebrew is required. Candidates should provide evidence of commitment to excellent teaching and of scholarly potential.
