The Visual and Performing Arts Department at Finger Lakes Community College is seeking innovative and adaptable educators committed to student engagement, excellence in teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrates knowledge of the current subject area. Implements course outcomes based on the master syllabus. Prepare and distribute an updated course outline specific to the sections taught . Prepares and creates lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities for students. Teaches courses and evaluates student performance. Maintains accurate student records. Submits pertinent data to the department and/or the College. Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's in Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Communication Studies, Broadcast Journalism, or Master's in related field with professional experience in

Communications Public Speaking:

Master's in Communication or related field with college course work in Communications and/or experience in public speaking, acting or debate

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior teaching experience preferred.

Additional Information:

Adjunct rate of pay for the 2026-2027 Academic Year is $1,087 per contact hour
