College Station, TEXAS Electrical & Computer Engineering Location College Station, Texas Open Date 4/1/2026 Position ID 180580 Description The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for one full-time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) position. Depending on qualifications and experience applicants will be considered for the titles of lecturer, senior lecturer, instructional assistant professor, instructional associate professor, instructional professor, associate professor of the practice, and professor of the practice with a 9-month academic appointment beginning as early as August 1, 2026. The successful applicant will teach primarily at the undergraduate level in support of the development of the undergraduate program; advise and mentor undergraduate students; participate in all aspects of the department's activities; and serve the profession. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. As a major department with an enrollment of about 1,700 undergraduate, 300 Ph.D. and 450 master's students pursuing degrees in electrical and computer engineering, our mission is fourfold to create new knowledge and challenge young minds by participation in the process of discovery and invention, to educate electrical and computer engineers with a solid background of fundamentals, to prepare graduates for an exciting future and to serve the society through research, education and outreach activities. Qualifications For appointments at Associate Professor of the Practice or Professor of the Practice level, applicants must have, at the minimum, a master's degree appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field or have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting. There may be additional requirements depending on the specific faculty title. For appointments at Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Instructional Assistant Professor, Instructional Associate Professor, or Instructional Professor level, applicants must have a doctoral degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline, or a master's level degree appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field, or have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting. There may be additional requirements depending on the specific faculty title.
