A Criminal Justice Professor teaches foundational criminal justice ideas, truths, and methods to students through a combination of classroom instruction, field experience, and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the criminal justice curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field.

Qualifications & Experience Master's degree in Criminal Justice or related field, required JD required for legal studies related courses, but not required for other CJ courses College level teaching experience preferred Demonstrated evidence of engaging and motivating students. Previous work experience in course topic area. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student population.
