Job Type Part-Time Job Number 00943 Division Adjunct Closing Date 6/5/2027 11:59 PM Eastern Opening Date 06/05/2026 Academic Year Criminal Justice (1164) Location 1 College Circle, Bangor, ME Department Criminal Justice (1164) Description Husson's College of Business is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidates interested in future part-time teaching opportunities in legal studies. Such opportunities are dependent upon the needs of the University. Assignments may require teaching day or evening classes as needed. The College of Business is seeking adjunct faculty to teach the following course•: Juvenile Justice •Specific courses may change depending upon the needs of the
University Note:
This position is for face-to-face instruction; instructors are expected to be on campus. Applications are reviewed as instructional needs arise. After the posting closes, applications may continue to be reviewed from the established pool based on departmental needs. Teaching assignments are dependent upon factors such as student enrollment, program needs, course scheduling, and institutional priorities. Example of Duties Teaching courses in the fall and/or spring semesters in School of Legal Studies in a classroom setting Assisting and supporting students beyond the classroom by holding regular or virtual office hours as needed Working collegially with other faculty in the area to develop and use common syllabi, course materials, and assessment methods Using instructional technology, especially the Canvas LMS, Husson G-Suite applications, and the faculty portal. Assessing and reporting student performance
Qualifications Education:
An earned Master's Degree in legal studies or a related field is required; J.D. or Ph.D. preferred.
Experience :
Successful teaching experience at the college level preferred. Demonstrated dedication to improving classroom teaching, exploring new methods, and adapting to student needs. Demonstrated ability to work well as a part of a team. Supplemental Information

General Physical Requirements Work is generally performed in a classroom, laboratory, clinical, online, office, or other instructional setting. Remain in a stationary position for extended periods while teaching, presenting, meeting with students, or performing related duties. Visual Requirements Must be able to read, prepare, evaluate, and review a variety of materials in both electronic and printed formats, and observe student activities as necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Working Conditions Work is performed primarily in instructional, laboratory, clinical, office, or remote learning environments, depending on course assignment and modality. The position may require evening, weekend, or off-site instructional activities.
COMPENSATION
Compensation is based on academic credentials, course assignment and course enrollment.
Undergraduate Courses Master's Prepared:
Up to $933.33 per credit hour•
Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared:
Up to $1,016.67 per credit hour•
Graduate Courses Master's Prepared:
Up to $1,016.67 per credit hour•
Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared:
Up to $1,100.00 per credit hour•Compensation is dependent upon the number of students enrolled in the assigned course.
