A Curriculum Specialist works in a public school district to coordinate curriculum. Works with teachers to develop curriculum that helps students learn effectively and meets state educational standards. Analyzes student assessment data, and chooses textbooks, educational materials, and new technologies to support teaching. May specialize in particular grade levels or subject areas, or education for specific groups of students such as English Language Learners.

Job Description

Travels to courts (Pulaski, Lonoke or Saline counties), screens DWI/DUI offenders and recommends the appropriate alcohol education or treatment program. Assists with administrative office work, and instructs DWI classes as assigned. Courts and/or classes may require evening (but not likely). Required, at times, to observe male or female drug screen collection in accordance with a Federal contract and completing appropriate paperwork. Cannot be on active probation.
Preferred qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree , Strong data entry skills, stable attendance record, working knowledge of business office equipment (computer, printer, scanner, copier, etc) and software (Word, Excel and Outlook), reliable transportation, team player, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
Accepted qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree and two years of substance abuse experience or a Human service position. Experience in recovery field may be acceptable. CIT or CADC an asset. Spanish speaking an asset.
Salary:
