These programs serve Adult Education (AE) students working toward a High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma or greater English proficiency as they transition from noncredit instruction into credit career training and college credit coursework. This role leads the implementation, coordination, and expansion of transition models across in-person and virtual locations, including integrated education and training (IET) pathways, college-readiness supports, and credit-bearing course opportunities. The position coordinates cross-functional collaborations with academic affairs, student affairs, enrollment services, workforce development, career services, and partner colleges. The Coordinator Sr. serves as a subject-matter expert in career training curriculum and models and ensures compliance with regulations and policies. The Coordinator Sr. also uses data to improve student access, persistence, and credential attainment. Essential Functions 30%- Monitors student scheduling, enrollment, attendance, persistence, and outcomes across transition programming, including IET pathways, college-readiness coursework, and other credit-bearing opportunities.
- Identifies, researches, and helps design new transition opportunities, including IET pathways, credit coursework, and scalable college-readiness models.
- Supervises instructional staff delivering career training and transition programming, including full-time and part-time employees as assigned.
- Participates in professional learning offered by college, district, state, industry, and national organizations. Stays current on best practices in adult learning, college readiness, career pathways, and student transition design. 10%
- Supports grant and college reporting, planning, and proposal development as assigned.
