These programs serve Adult Education (AE) students working toward a High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma or greater English proficiency as they transition from noncredit instruction into credit career training and college credit coursework. This role leads the implementation, coordination, and expansion of transition models across in-person and virtual locations, including integrated education and training (IET) pathways, college-readiness supports, and credit-bearing course opportunities. The position coordinates cross-functional collaborations with academic affairs, student affairs, enrollment services, workforce development, career services, and partner colleges. The Coordinator Sr. serves as a subject-matter expert in career training curriculum and models and ensures compliance with regulations and policies. The Coordinator Sr. also uses data to improve student access, persistence, and credential attainment. Essential Functions 30%

• Monitors student scheduling, enrollment, attendance, persistence, and outcomes across transition programming, including IET pathways, college-readiness coursework, and other credit-bearing opportunities.

Coordinates course scheduling and rosters with academic and student services partners. Collects, analyzes, and presents program data to evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements that strengthen adult learners' credential attainment in career training pathways as well as the transition into and completion of credit coursework. 25%

• Identifies, researches, and helps design new transition opportunities, including IET pathways, credit coursework, and scalable college-readiness models.

Makes recommendations to division leadership regarding program offerings, implementation strategies, and student supports. Develops and updates implementation plans, policies, and procedures to support expansion across locations. Collaborates with teams across workforce development, career services, and enrollment services and consults with partner colleges to align outreach, recruitment, onboarding, and student preparation. 25%

• Supervises instructional staff delivering career training and transition programming, including full-time and part-time employees as assigned.

Participates in the selection, onboarding, training, and professional learning of instructors for IETs, transition supports, college-readiness coursework, and credit opportunities. Provides oversight to ensure curriculum, instructional practices, and program procedures are implemented consistently across locations. Communicates regularly with instructors, site teams, and college partners regarding program requirements, schedules, and student transition processes. 10%

• Participates in professional learning offered by college, district, state, industry, and national organizations. Stays current on best practices in adult learning, college readiness, career pathways, and student transition design. 10%
• Supports grant and college reporting, planning, and proposal development as assigned.

Helps advance state and program performance targets related to enrollment, transition, persistence, and credential attainment. Contributes to division-wide initiatives and other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, organizational development or directly related field and two years of related experience such as providing advanced program coordination and consultation that includes one or more of the following: planning, development, and/or implementing program projects and activities in area of assignment. A Master's Degree may be required for some assignments. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications A. Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution B. Experience in the fields of career training or workforce development C. Experience teaching in an Adult Education and/or career training program D. Experience working in higher education E. Experience with curriculum development F. Experience with instructor training G. One (1) year of relevant full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two (2) years Special Working Conditions Able to obtain or currently holds an Arizona Adult Education Certificate.
